Semiabstract figures of a man and a woman holding a bar above their heads. The bar displays a burned quote by Paul Éluard translated into Italian: "Libertà io scrivo il tuo nome sull' architrave della mia porta. P. Éluard” (Freedom, I write thy name on the top of my door rail). The ‘Freedom’ poem was written by Paul Éluard in 1942 during the German occupation of France. The sculptors used the original quote in French: "Sur le tremplin de ma porte... J'écris ton nom" (On the sill of my door... I write your name). The hands look like tree branches. And the metal plate on the stand reads: “Premio artigiano per la Pace 1984 / La città di boves alla città di Volgograd”
