A gift from a group of communist women from the Association of the 8th of March in the city of Coventry given to the people from Stalingrad during their visit to the UK, November 15 – December 7, 1951.
The gift was handed over to the museum in 1951 by T.S. Murashkina, the chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Yermansky district.

The building which also functions as a water tower was designed by architect Bertel Stremmer; in 1969 it was opened after the reconstruction. The engraved inscription on the base plate: “Kemi / Kaupungintalo / Suomi”
