The bone-carved side walls of the bas-relief represent the scenes from the history of the Mongolian People’s Republic from 1921, 1939 and 1945; a horn towering over the base is carved with the views of Ulan Bator; the two figures in the foreground – a Mongolian man and a Russian man symbolize the indissoluble bonds of friendship between the Mongolian and Soviet people.
