The picture of the soldier Robert Sloan with a bandaged head; the words on the red banner read: “...the Hopes / of civilization rest on / the worthy banners of the / courageous Russian Army” / – General Douglas MacArthur; the words along the lower blue line: “Send funds for aid / to Russian war relief...”; Lipaba Printing House, New York; the text handwritten with a red pencil and a blue ball pen on the reverse: “Produced in / 1941 / Poster: / 11X71 Carcard for Russian war relief, Inc. / Portrait by Robert Sloan / Designed by David Weisman / typography and hand lettering by D.
