Memorial to the guerrillas of Ain and the Resistance of Cerdon (Mémorial des maquis de l'Ain et de la Résistance de Cerdon). Model. A gift from Cerdon commune to the 30th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad, 1973. Department of Ain, Cerdon commune

The monument, 18 meters high, was designed by sculptor Charles Machet (Charles Machet, 1902 - 1980). The first stone was laid by General de Gaulle in 1949, the monument was opened in 1951, a tomb of the unknown maquisard - in 1954; inscriptions on the monument [translation]: "Unknown maquisard rests here", "Where I die, the Motherland is reborn. (Louis Aragon)"
