An isosceles triangular shawl with the views of the most famous sights of the French capital: Triumphal Arch, Eiffel Tower, Opera Garnier, Place Vendome, Notre-Dame de Pari. Below follow the emblems of the Île-de-France region and Paris. All images are framed by a blue triangular field along the edges of the shawl.

The gift plate contains an image of the imperial crown with a monogram and the inscription: "In commemoration of the visit of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I.st emperor of Ethiopia."
