A full-size figure of a miner at work. His body and head are leaned forward. He is using a pickaxe to pry the rock. The sculpture stands on a wooden base without any securing devices.

A gift from the builders of the Brotherhood-in-Arms park and Polish-Soviet friendship, Poznan. It was gifted to Volgograd by the builders of the Monument and Memorial Park to Brotherhood in Arms dedicated to the Polish-Soviet Friendship and situated on the territory of the Poznan Fortress.
