A gift from the people of Luxembourg to the citizens of Stalingrad, 1951. The author of the project is Moes Émile; it was made by a blacksmith-tinsmith - Calmus Pierre.

A round tabletop with a built-in chess board; the inscriptions with raised letters along the four sides of the chess board read: “1941 – 1945 / With Gratitude / Luxembourg / To Stalingrad”. Two emblems of the Soviet Union and two emblems of Luxemburg are fixed to the edges of the tabletop which is coated with tempered glass “Jemeppe / securit / Belgium”. The brim and the emblems feature stamped name of the blacksmith “Calmus” and initials of Grand Duchess of Luxembourg Charlotte. The legs of the table are beautifully shaped. Emil Moss, the former teacher and author of the project paid a visit to Stalingrad on April 08, 1982, bringing 8 of his design sketches.
