Letter from the Upper Manhattan women's group of the American Russian committee for medical aid to the USSR to the Serebryanye Prudy Orphanage. New York

In the Russian language. A letter printed on a typewriter on one side of laid paper with the ARROW FLIGH watermarks. The letter informs that one hundred short fur coats were sent to the orphan asylum “Silver Ponds” (situated near the Archeda railway station, Stalingrad region) through the agency of the Ambidjan Committee: “...realizing that this is only a drop in the sea, we are making our best efforts to send more new and warm gifts and try to provide comfort and warmth and erase from the children’s minds a dreadful image of a foreigner left by German fascists”.
