Normandie – Niémen is the French fighter aviation regiment (1st fighter aviation regiment "Normandie – Niémen" of 303rd guards fighter division of the 1st Air Army), who fought during the Second World War on the Soviet-German front in 1943 - 1945. The personnel of the squadron consisted of 72 French volunteers (14 pilots and 58 aircraft mechanics) and 17 Soviet aircraft mechanics.
